Authors' Guidelines

AIFPU Journal of Computer Engineering (AIFPUJCTE)

The AIFPU Journal of Computer Engineering (AIFPUJCTE) welcomes original, high-quality scholarly contributions in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Networks, Internet of Things, Embedded Systems, Robotics, Digital Systems, Cloud Computing, and related interdisciplinary fields.

Authors are encouraged to carefully follow the guidelines below before submitting manuscripts.

1. Types of Manuscripts

The journal accepts:

  • Original Research Articles

  • Review Articles

  • Technical Papers

  • Case Studies

  • Short Communications

  • Methodological and Applied Research Papers

  • Innovative Engineering and Computing Applications

2. Originality of Manuscripts

Manuscripts submitted to AIFPUJCTE must be original and must not have been published previously or be under consideration for publication in another journal.

Authors must ensure that all sources, ideas, data, figures, tables, and materials obtained from other works are properly acknowledged and referenced.

3. Manuscript Length

Original research articles should normally contain approximately 5,000–8,000 words, excluding references, tables, figures, and supplementary materials.

Review articles may be longer where necessary, provided that the additional length is justified by the scope and depth of the review.

4. Manuscript Format

Manuscripts should be prepared using Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx).

Recommended formatting:

  • Paper size: A4

  • Font: Times New Roman

  • Main text: 12 pt

  • Line spacing: Single (1.0)

  • Text alignment: Justified

  • Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm)

  • Paragraphs: Consistently formatted throughout the manuscript

  • Page numbers: Included

  • Tables and figures: Numbered consecutively and appropriately referenced in the text

5. Recommended Manuscript Structure

Research articles should normally contain the following sections:

  1. Title

  2. Authors and Affiliations

  3. Abstract

  4. Keywords

  5. Introduction

  6. Literature Review / Related Work

  7. Materials and Methods / Methodology

  8. Results

  9. Discussion

  10. Conclusion

  11. Recommendations or Implications, where applicable

  12. Acknowledgements, where applicable

  13. Conflict of Interest Statement

  14. References

The structure may be modified where appropriate according to the nature of the research.

6. Title

The title should be concise, informative, specific, and accurately reflect the content of the manuscript.

Authors should avoid unnecessary abbreviations and overly broad titles.

7. Authors and Affiliations

All individuals who have made substantial contributions to the research should be listed as authors.

For each author, provide:

  • Full name

  • Department

  • Institution

  • City and country

  • Email address

The corresponding author should be clearly identified and should be responsible for communication with the journal during the submission and review process.

8. Abstract

The abstract should provide a concise summary of the study, including the research problem, objectives, methodology, major findings, and conclusion.

The abstract should normally contain approximately 150–250 words and should be understandable without reference to the main manuscript.

9. Keywords

Provide 4–6 keywords or phrases immediately after the abstract.

Keywords should accurately represent the major concepts, technologies, methods, and applications discussed in the manuscript.

10. Tables

Tables should:

  • Be numbered consecutively (e.g., Table 1, Table 2).

  • Have a clear and descriptive title.

  • Be referred to in the manuscript before they appear.

  • Be sufficiently clear and readable.

  • Avoid unnecessary duplication of information presented in the text.

11. Figures

Figures, diagrams, charts, photographs, screenshots, and other illustrations should be of good quality.

Each figure should:

  • Be numbered consecutively.

  • Have a descriptive caption.

  • Be referenced in the manuscript.

  • Be sufficiently clear for publication.

  • Have appropriate permission where copyrighted material is used.

12. Equations

Mathematical equations should be clearly presented and appropriately numbered where necessary.

Authors should ensure that mathematical symbols and variables are clearly defined in the text.

13. References and Citations

Authors must ensure that all works cited in the manuscript appear in the reference list and that every reference listed has been cited in the manuscript.

References should be accurate, complete, and consistently formatted.

Authors are encouraged to use recent and relevant scholarly literature and to provide DOI information where available.

14. Research Ethics

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their research complies with applicable ethical standards.

Where research involves human participants, personal data, animals, or other ethically sensitive materials, authors should provide appropriate ethical approval or consent information where applicable.

15. Plagiarism and Research Integrity

AIFPU-JCE does not accept plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabrication, falsification, manipulation of research data, or other forms of academic misconduct.

All submitted manuscripts may be subjected to plagiarism and originality checks.

Authors remain responsible for the originality and integrity of their submitted work.

16. Use of Artificial Intelligence

Authors who use artificial intelligence tools during manuscript preparation should use such tools responsibly and transparently.

AI tools must not replace the authors' responsibility for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and scholarly quality of the manuscript.

Authors remain fully responsible for all content submitted to the journal.

17. Conflict of Interest

Authors should disclose any financial, professional, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence or reasonably appear to influence the research or its interpretation.

Where no conflict exists, authors may state:

"The authors declare that there is no conflict of interest."

18. Submission of Manuscripts

Authors are invited to submit manuscripts electronically through the journal's online submission system or by email.

The email subject should preferably contain the manuscript title or a shortened version of the title.

Authors should ensure that the manuscript is complete and properly formatted before submission.

The submission should normally include:

  • Complete manuscript

  • Full names and affiliations of all authors

  • Corresponding author's email address and telephone number

  • Supporting documents, where applicable

19. Peer Review

All manuscripts are subject to preliminary editorial assessment.

Manuscripts considered suitable for the journal's scope and quality requirements may be sent for peer review.

The editorial decision may include:

  • Accept

  • Minor Revision

  • Major Revision

  • Resubmit for Review

  • Reject

Authors may be required to revise manuscripts in response to reviewers' comments before a final editorial decision is made.

20. Publication Ethics

Authors are expected to observe high standards of academic and professional conduct throughout the research, submission, review, and publication processes.

Submission of a manuscript constitutes confirmation that the authors have complied with applicable ethical, authorship, originality, and publication requirements.

21. Author Responsibility

The authors are responsible for:

  • The accuracy of the information presented.

  • The originality of the manuscript.

  • The validity and integrity of the research.

  • Proper citation of sources.

  • Obtaining permission for copyrighted material.

  • Responding appropriately to editorial and reviewer comments.

  • Disclosing relevant conflicts of interest.

  • Ensuring that all listed authors have approved the final manuscript.

22. Final Checklist Before Submission

Authors should ensure that:

  • The manuscript falls within the scope of AIFPU-JCE.

  • The work is original and is not under consideration elsewhere.

  • The manuscript follows the required formatting guidelines.

  • All authors and affiliations are correctly provided.

  • The abstract and keywords are included.

  • All tables and figures are numbered and referenced.

  • All citations appear in the reference list.

  • References are complete and accurate.

  • Ethical requirements have been addressed where applicable.

  • Conflict of interest information has been provided.

  • The manuscript has been carefully proofread before submission.
